The Statpaq system was used in a Dairy operation to track both blow molding weights and defects and fill weights. In the blow molding facility, the untrimmed and trimmed weights for milk jugs were weighed directly into the InfinityQS Proficient SPC software. The jug weights and % regrind was tracked for each individual mold, and the running average weights were fed ahead to the filling stations as the working tare weight.

At the filling stations, the filled jug weights were weighed directly into the software, and other quality checks such as label verification and placement were also tracked. The end result was a significant reduction in material usage for jugs, reduction in the overfill of product, and reduction of rework due to label issues.
